Proclamation from Governor Jim Doyle Declaring April 2010 as Records & Information Management Month (RIMM)

04-2010

Attached is a copy of the Proclamation from Governor Jim Doyle declaring April 2010 as Records & Information Management Month (RIMM). Identity theft is a growing concern around the world.  One of the best ways to safeguard personal information is to shred the documents rather than placing in the recycling or trash.

Below is a list of great opportunities to securely dispose of personal documents, records, credit card and ATM receipts, utility bills, bank statements, tax information and returns, checking, savings or other financial accounts, old tax records, pay stubs, premium statements, prescription and medical documents, and those unsolicited credit card offers.  Many of these items may include your social security numbers, date of birth, address, financial account numbers, protected health information and other items.
