Who’s affected
Details

Marathon County has a data breach affecting approximately 270 county employees.

Some employees of Marathon County have been affected by an information breach that involves their County-Wide Purchase Card Program. A file that contained names, social security numbers, and dates of births was sent to the County’s purchasing card administrator. The purchase card administrator has deleted the employee social security numbers on the file at the request of the County.
The County has provided assistance through First Advantage Membership Services (FAMS). You may contact FAMS representative for more details at 888-717-7536.

Who’s affected
Details

Approximately 600 individuals had their information compromised.

The office of Kurt Bischoff Tax & Accounting, Inc. was burglarized on February 21, 2008 and had a desktop computer stolen. The computer had personally identifiable information on it, such as names, addresses, birthdates, social security numbers, and bank account numbers. There is a police report on file.

Who’s affected
Details

There was a breach of information affecting all individuals who have active or inactive files for the group disability insurance plan underwritten by the Union Security Insurance Company, which includes Wisconsin residents.

On December 29, 2007 a desktop computer was stolen from the offices of Administrative Systems, Inc. (ASI).  The computer was double-password protected, but contained names, social security numbers, birthdates, and addresses of individuals.
The Seattle Police Department is investigating the incident.

Kiwanis International

Names, credit cards numbers, expiration dates, and billing/shipping addresses

Who’s affected
Details

There was a breach of customers’ information at Kiwanis International which included approximately 400 Wisconsin residents.

Kiwanis International learned of a recent unauthorized intrusion into its Kiwanis Family Store Website and database. The perpetrator gathered personal information including names, credit card numbers, expiration dates, and billing/shipping addresses by illegally accessing their system through the Internet.  No Social Security numbers and drivers' license numbers were stolen.

Upon learning of the breach, the website was shut down.
