Details

Approximately 2.3 million records were stolen-  2.2 million containing bank account information and 99,000 containing credit card information. It is unclear when the breach occurred and whether Wisconsin residents have been affected.

An employee stole a database containing 2.3 million records and has been terminated as a result. The Secret Service is investigating the incident but has determined the records were sold by a database manager at Fidelity to a data broker who then sold the records to marketing companies. Those affected should place a fraud alert on their credit report.
